REQUIRING ALL CITY AND COUNTY DEPARTMENTS, AGENCIES, AND THE CITY COUNCIL TO NOTIFY THE MUNICIPAL REFERENCE AND RECORDS CENTER OF ALL GIFT OFFERS.

    WHEREAS, the City and County of Honolulu is the recipient of many gifts, and

    WHEREAS, many of these gifts may in time have a historical significance as a part of the city's heritage, and

    WHEREAS, the Municipal Reference and Records Center is concerned that adequate information be kept on the location and condition of these gifts, and

    WHEREAS, the Municipal Reference and Records Center wishes to maintain a file on potentially significant gifts; now, therefore,

    BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City and County of Honolulu, State of Hawaii, that the Municipal Reference and Records Center shall be informed of all gift offers made to executive departments, agencies and the City Council; and

    BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and she is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Municipal Reference and Records Center.
