AUTHORIZING USE OF THE CITY SEAL BY THE CITY CLERK FOR THE VOTER OUTREACH PROGRAM.

    WHEREAS, Section 41-1.1, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 1990 (ROH), as amended, adopts the seal of the City and County of Honolulu; and

    WHEREAS, Section 41-1.2(b), ROH, requires authorization in writing by the city council for official use of the city to manufacture, reproduce, sell or purchase for resale, either separately or appended to any article manufactured or sold, any facsimile of the seal of the City and County of Honolulu, or any substantial part thereof; and

    WHEREAS, the Clerk of the City and County of Honolulu requests authorization for use of the city seal for imprinting on t-shirts to be worn by City Clerk employees and voter registrars as part of the Voter Outreach Program; and

    WHEREAS, the Council finds such use to be for “official use of the city” pursuant to Section 41-1.2(b), ROH; now, therefore,

    BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City and County of Honolulu that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to use the city seal for imprinting on t-shirts to be worn by City Clerk employees and voter registrars as part of the Voter Outreach Program; and

    BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the City Clerk.
