WHAT'S NEW AND OTHER INFORMATION

 

 

  • General Instruction to Bidders and General Terms and Conditions for Goods and Services Contracts (1/09/2007)

    For the convenience of bidders and contractors, the General Instruction to Bidders and General Terms and Conditions for Goods and Services Contracts have been added to the Division of Purchasing webpage.

  • The City and County of Honolulu Vendor Self Service System

This system will service all vendors who provide goods or services to the City, including construction, professional services and concessions.

The new system is now available for registration purposes and will soon be used to post opportunities to bid and accept electronic bids. Additionally, the new Vendor Self Service portal will allow you to maintain your information, receive email notifications for relevant opportunities, place bids, view bid results, and communicate with other vendors.


With the opening of the system for registration, the City will begin the process of transitioning the bid opportunities from the old Purchasing website to the new Vendor Self Service (VSS) portal.  We anticipate full operation of the system to include, notice of bid opportunities, notification to bidders, and acceptance of electronic bids beginning in early 2008.  If you are currently using the City's website to access solicitation and award notice information, you are encouraged to visit the new site and register.  This is important because your existing user name and password will not be moved to that new portal.  The new site will be accessible by link from the old site. 


There will be a great deal of new functionality available through the new site.  Please accept our invitation to visit the site and register. We will be posting additional information on the Purchasing website at
http://www.honolulu.gov/pur.  If you need assistance, we can be reached by email at bfspurchase@honolulu.gov or phone (808) 527-5692.  We are open Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., except for State holidays.

  • Hawaii Compliance Express (HCE)

Effective August 27, 2005, the Certificate of Vendor Compliance issued electronically through the Hawaii Compliance Express (HCE), officially managed by the State's internet portal contractor, Hawaii Information Consortium, LLC, may be used for both proof of compliance prior to the award of a contract and for final payment, pursuant to section 3-122-112, HAR.  For more information, the website address is http://vendors.ehawaii.gov/.  Bidders are encouraged to register with the Hawaii Compliance Express.
