The Honolulu Vendor Self Service (VSS) portal provides vendors with a single entry point to register, identify the goods or services that their company provides, scan for opportunities and respond to solicitations using the web.

VSS Updates

VSS System Maintenance Downtime

- November 03, 2009 -

 

The VSS server is scheduled to be brought down on the following time for system maintenance. During the downtime, users will be unable to log into the Honolulu VSS system. Thank you for your understanding.

     VSS Surplus Auction

    - September 24, 2009 -


    The City's October 5, 2009 Surplus Auction will be conducted on the Vendor Self Service system. To receive email alerts about up-coming surplus auctions, add the 998 (SALE OF SURPLUS AND OBSOLETE ITEMS) commodity class to your account.

    - July 09, 2009 -

    The VSS System Maintenance scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2009 (8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.) has been cancelled. VSS will be available for use.

    Small Purchase Electronic Bidding
    - April 01, 2009 -

    The City and County of Honolulu Vendor Self Service (VSS) portal will be the posting and bidding location for Small Purchase Requests.


    We highly encourage vendors to register or activate their account in VSS, and update account information. "How to" guides can be found in the Help Section.


    *Non-Small Purchase Solicitations*

    Non-small purchase solicitations will continue to be posted at Bids for Goods, Services and Concessions  and Construction and Professional Services Bids and Proposals.

    We highly recommend that vendors review both the www.honolulu.gov/pur and Vendor Self Service websites.

    Subject: City and County of Honolulu Vendor Self Service System is Ready for Small Purchase Request Electronic Bidding. 

    Dear Vendor,

    The City and County of Honolulu Vendor Self Service System is now available for electronic bidding on Small Purchase Request Solicitations.

    This system will continue to service all vendors who provide goods or services to the City, including construction, professional services and concessions. The system is still available for registration purposes, maintaining account information, and now will be used to send email notifications and receive electronic bids for Small Purchase Request Solicitations.

    With the opening of the system for Small Purchase Request Electronic Bidding, the City highly encourages Vendors to register/activate their organization in VSS and update all account information.  

    This marks the start of the process of transitioning the bid opportunities from the old Purchasing website to Vendor Self Service (VSS) portal. For the time being, solicitation will still be posted to http://www.honolulu.gov/pur .  

    There will be a great deal of new functionality available through the Vendor Self Service site.  Please accept our invitation to visit the site and bid on Small Purchase Solicitations. We will be posting additional information on the Purchasing website at http://www.honolulu.gov/pur/honoluluvss.htm .  If you need assistance, we can be reached by email at bfspurchasing@honolulu.gov or phone (808) 768-5535 (Help Desk).  We are open Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., except for State holidays.
