Ala Moana Beach Access!
Ala Moana Beach is located across from Ala Moana Shopping Center in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

Directions to Ala Moana Beach Park The Diamond Head (east) entrance is from Atkinson Drive, the Ewa (west) entrance is on Ala Moana Blvd. between Ward Avenue and Queen Street.
Ala Moana Beach has a gentle sloping beach with coarse sand. The beach is protected by an artificial reef which creates a calm ocean that laps up on the beach making it ideal for swimming and water play.
There are three ways to access the beach: 1. Across the sand 2. Landeez All-Terrain Wheelchair 3. Beach Mats |

Landeez All-Terrain Wheelchair The all-terrain wheelchair is available from concession stands at each end of the park. At the Diamond Head (east) concession stand, there is accessible parking in the Magic Island parking lot or there is one accessible stall just to the right of the stand as you face it. The above picture is of the Diamond Head end concession stand. At the Ewa (west) concession stand, there is parallel parking and an accessible parking space to the right of the concession stand as you face it. All accessible parking spaces are marked with signs. |
Beach Mats There are beach mats at both Diamond Head (east) and Ewa (west) ends of the beach in front of the concession stands. The picture to the right is of the mats in front of the Ewa (west) side concession stand. |
