As a resident of Kahaluu for over forty years, I have a strong interest in local issues. Our quality of life is constantly affected by City, State, and Federal decisions. In this hard economic times, how taxes are spent is extremely important. I hope to offer my service & together make a difference.

I respectfully ask for your support to continue representing our community. As a public-interest lawyer, I know how to navigate government bureaucracies to accomplish real results. We need to work together to find solutions that preserve our quality of life and leave a better tomorrow for our keiki.

I have been a proactive member of the Kahalu'u Board, working to enhance the unique character of our area. We need to strive to make Kahalu'u safe and clean, and a place where our children can thrive. If re-elected, I will continue working to make Kahalu'u a community we can be proud of.

MACHADO, Arthur B. Jr.

Director Kaneohe Bay Regional Council 2008-present. Member of Kahaluu NB #29 2003-08, Chair in 2006-07. Chairmen Kaneohe x-mas parade from 1971-present. Chair Windward City Lights 2003 to present. Member Kaneohe Chamber 10 years. Member Exchange Club of Kaneohe for 10 years. Founder Kahaluu Pop Warner.

LeVasseur, Kenneth W.

Kahaluu is a gateway to the country on Oahu. We need to remain vigilant and have strong representation to keep the country, country. I have been a community activist for 30 years, 10 years or so now was a member of NB#29; dedicated to realizing the hopes and mitigating the fears of our residents.

 

Valencia, Mark J.

Lived in Kahaluu 30 years; married, 2 children who attended Ahuimanu School; graduated UH with Ph.D in Oceanography; as grad. student worked at Coconut Island; now retired and have ample time for comm. service; served on NB for past year; member of committee on water issues; support keeping the country country.

SPRAY, Elwin

Current Member. Concerns: traffic and pedestrian safety, especially on Hui Iwa Street and at intersections, and environment and water (board committee chair). Active in community, with Scouts and Kahalu'u's KEY Project.
