Koolauloa Neighborhood Board No. 28

FONOIMOANA, Kent K.

I am a lifelong resident of the Koolauloa area. The majority of my education was acquired on the windward side including Kahuku HS, BYU-UH, and WCC. I currently operate a small business. I reside in Kahuku and would be honored to represent the residents in my subdistrict.

Leonardi, Jimmy P.K.

Resident of Walkerville, Kahuku for 26 yrs. Married, two daughters, both attend UH. Bachelor's Degree in Education from UH, Professional Teaching Certificate from BYUH. Taught at Kahuku High since 1974. Current NB #28 member, KVA Vice President since 1996. Also served on Malama Ohana from 1996-2007.

Primacio, Junior

Born & raised in Kahuku. Graduated from Kahuku High. Former sugar PLT worker. IWLU unit chairman. Vietnam veteran. 40+ years in community affairs, water issues, planning, non-profit, and land management. Serving on subdistrict #1 Kahuku and wish to continue serving in the Koolauloa communities.

PRIMACIO, Margaret M.

My ohana greatly benefitted from attending Kahuku and living in our area. I would serve on the board with the goal that our children are able to live and work in the area they grew up in. We must support homes they will afford and oppose high cost gates homes that limit access to our shoreline. Mahalo nui, Margaret Primacio.

Father of five children who were born and raised in Laie, married to Deborah Cummings. I support initiatives that encourage fair educational opportunities, controlled growth for affordable housing, programs that develop our youth and disadvantaged, medical programs to support elderly and baby care.

RACOMA, William F.

Laie resident since 1991, Acted as AYSO Coach/referee and regional Commissioner. Provided CPR + First Aid certification at no cost. Initiated reward for library door vandalism with $500 and collected $1000 more. Regular library volunteer. Supports Kahuku Drama Club. Real Estate Agent.

Steward, Les

Laie resident for 40 yrs. Employed at the PCC. My wife Nanette has taught at Kahuku and Laie Elem Schools for over 20 yrs. My children graduated from Kahuku HS. Undergraduate degree from BYUH. Graduate degree from Central Michigan Univ. Board member for 9 years. Hukilau District Chair Ц Boy Scouts.

Wasson, Dawn Kahala Tautafa

Born in La'ie, 7th generation Kanaka Maoli. Mother of 4 sons, 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Hawaiian historian, genealogist, volunteer educator in Hawaiian history, storyteller, published writer of Hawaiian children's books in the Ko'olauloa area. AA in liberal studies, BA in poli sci.

Homeowner, mother & 20 yr. DOE teacher for English Language Learners. Board service is enlightening, allows opportunities to address concerns & needs impacting my community: development pressures; affordable housing (rentals & ownership) & infrastructure: drainage, roads, parks, schools & hospital.

Lived in Hawaii mainly Laie & Hauula for over 22 years. Originally from Aoteroa. My husband, Kona Big Island. Have a son who lives in Aoteroa. Will do my best for my community

Resident of the Ahupua'a o Kahana. Wife, mother of 3. Interested in being "more" involved, addressing concerns within community, whether kapuna, opio, keiki. Malama all resources, land, water, air, residents. I want to perpetuate, support Hawaiian culture, activities. Education. Safety Ц infrastructure, priority!
