ALAMEIDA, Jeffrey K.

 

MATSUURA, Reed H.

Born Waialua/lifelong resident of Mokuleia.  Worked for various city councilmember over 11 years as a leg. aide for the North Shore area.  Major concerns are: 1) Public safety of resident and visitors during floods, hurricanes, tsunamis and other natural disasters.  2) Need to maintain and preserve ag lands and opportunities.  3) Need for affordable, transitional and emergency housing.

Hirota, John H.

Present member NSNB#27; past member NSNB#27, 20 yrs; born & raised North Shore; former Industrial Relations Director, Waialua Sugar Co; present Program Director, Oahu Rural Development; Moderator, Liliuokalani Protestant Church; various community organizations.        

 

Lunasco, Ollie

Member North Shore Neighborhood on numerous occasions in the past 20 years. Current membership began 2004. I strongly believe that our elected officials should respond to our concerns. If reelected I will continue to preserve our country lifestyle and open space.

 

Ng, Jacob Y.W. (Jake)

Mahalo for your past support. I want to continue working with the UH on Kaiaka Bay Watershed, soil and water contamination, flood mitigation, and disaster planning for the area. I want to continue my advocacy for wild fire prevention, ocean safety, our natural resources, wetlands, and ag.

 

PAHINUI, Kathleen M.

Past member and chair of North Shore Neighborhood Board. Helped champion the Waialua Bike Path, Waialua Town Master Plan and Community Kitchen. Helping to preserve Puuiki Cemetery and resolve flooding in Waialua. Trustee of the Waialua Community Association and President of Friends for Waialua town.

 

RIVIERE, Gil

I am not one to sit back and wait for others to get something done. I work tirelessly as President of Waialua Little League, Keep the North Shore Country, Let's Surf Coalition, Hukilau Loop Assoc. and Chair of the NSNB Traffic and Transportation Committee.  Thank you for allowing me to serve.

Lyons, Michael D.

Served on neighborhood Board for past 4 years. Elected Chair of the Board last three years. Vice-Chair for six months prior Served with HPD for over 31 years. Married 38 years. Attended Leeward, BYU, Waialua High School. Lived in Haleiwa 45 years.

 

Philips, Carol

I have lived in the country for 39 years and have spent many of those years dedicated to helping us retain the quality of life we all cherish out here. Concerns for our community include over development, affordable housing, traffic and flooding. I'm a graduate of U.H and live and work in Haleiwa.

Current member. N.S. resident for 20+ years. Would like to keep the country country, with limited, controlled, and well-planned development which is consistent with our sustainable communities plan, the current Land Use Ordinances, and which is actually desired by a majority of the residents of our beloved North Shore.

Leinau, Roberts "Bob" G.

It is with humble honor that I have voiced our community's concerns since the inception of the NSNB. I endeavor to get thorough discussion on current issues with all of the information in the public eye. I am active with conservation efforts at Pupukea MLCD, and the Pupukea/Paumalu long term planning.

 

MCELHENY, Blake D.

I support strong, organized communities. We can work together to achieve common goals based on shared values. We are making progress on making the North Shore a safe and healthy place to live, work, and play. And we can do more.

 

MILLER, Antya L.

Resident Waialua/Haleiwa since 1961; Pupukea 25 yrs. Post grad Public Admin. Haleiwa family business 20 yrs. Neighborhood Board. Projects: Sunset Bch soccer field, Weed Circle, grants for community. Advocate: Ag, Haleiwa sidewalks, addressing traffic & crime, preserving special North Shore.
