Cain, Michael I graduated from UH with a masters in Urban Planning in 2004, have worked with DLNR since 2005, and have served on Board No. 5 for the past two years. Current board chair. 50+ years resident of St. Louis Height concerned with deteriorating infrastructure, high taxes, lack of services, crime, noise, and the environment. 30 years of service in the Air Force/Air National Guard. Elected to the Board in 2007. I have been Treasurer since 2007. I am a husband and father of two young children attending public school. We have been Kapahulu homeowners since 2003. I have lived here for 30 years and been a member of the Board for 7. I'm working to prevent the explosion of B&Bs, to promote the use of solar energy through free government loans, to preserve parking at 548 Kapahulu, and to maintain tradition in the remodeling of the Honolulu Zoo entrance. I walk the Neighborhood to observe problems that affect our safety and tourist industry development. Traffic, transportation, roads, and homeless are my major concerns.
