ALLEN, Julia E.

St. Louis Heights has been my home since 1976. It is also where my parents lived when I was born. When I was almost six years old my family moved to California where I went to school though college. Since returning I have worked in retail business and now I am a small business owner.

Cain, Michael

I graduated from UH with a masters in Urban Planning in 2004, have worked with DLNR since 2005, and have served on Board No. 5 for the past two years. Main interests are urban design, ensuring that rail has a positive impact on our community, and pushing for better bicycle routes.

Luckett, Deborah

Serves as NB No. 5 SD 1 Chair. Organized Hui Opala-advocates to implement Charter Amendment 4, curbside recycling. Earned UH Public Health Masters. My candidacy arose from "How Honolulu will become a world class city". Lives in St. Louis Heights with husband, "Dr. Scott", and cat, "Noel".

Miller, Barbara C.

Barbara C. Miller works to improve life quality goals:. NB 5 (10 years), St. Louis Heights Association (security, police, parking issues} and Kupuna Caucus (legislation to improve health services). 40 years, Mrs. Miller lives in St. Louis Heights home with Musician son Porter.

Narita, Bert T.

Current board chair. 50+ years resident of St. Louis Height concerned with deteriorating infrastructure, high taxes, lack of services, crime, noise, and the environment. 30 years of service in the Air Force/Air National Guard. Continues to serve the public. Married with two children.

CHANG, Kenneth C.C.

Incumbent, elected since 1974. Grad from St. Louis HS in '67. Architect and preside of Innovative Architectural Designs Inc. I am and have been interested in working with and for the community and its residents. If re-elected I will continue to work towards these goals.

DROWN, Scot M.

Elected to the Board in 2007.  I have been Treasurer since 2007.  I am a husband and father of two young children attending public school.  We have been Kapahulu homeowners since 2003.  We frequently use area parks and beaches.  I am committed to protecting quality and accessibility of these spaces.

EGGED, Rick

Rick Egged, board member from 2005. Concerns: parks, traffic and maintaining neighborhood character. President Waikiki Improvement Association, from 1998. Home-owner, Hawaii resident since 1968. Rick, his wife, and 3 boys walk the neighborhood and use our parks. Graduate UH 2005, Waipahu HS 1970.

NAHOOPII, Bertha S.J.

NB #5 member over 30 years. Retired HPD police officer. Lifelong resident of Kapahulu. UH (BS) recreational leadership. Active with Ala Wai Watershed assoc. Vice-Chair Palolo, Kapahulu, St Louis. Interested in safety and community concerns of our neighborhood.

WAIALEALE, George

Resident of the area for 25 years. Lifelong volunteer for community projects served on new Kapahulu Business Association, Kanewai Park Advisory Council, Palolo Lions Club, and Go for Broke Association. Former treasurer Democratic Party. I will continue to work for all of our residents.

Berlin, Roxie

I have lived here for 30 years and been a member of the Board for 7.  I'm working to prevent the explosion of B&Bs, to promote the use of solar energy through free government loans, to preserve parking at 548 Kapahulu, and to maintain tradition in the remodeling of the Honolulu Zoo entrance.

Harden, Jay R.

I have served for 4 years on Diamond Head Subdistrict 3. Retired prop. Mgr. Served on 2 condo boards for 20 yrs. Charter member of Gold Coast Neighborhood. I walk the Neighborhood to observe problems that affect our safety and tourist industry development. Traffic, transportation, roads, and homeless are my major concerns.

MATSON, Michelle Spalding

Present Vice Chair. Supports sound planning practices, responsible resource management, less property tax. Working for a safer community, aircraft noise solutions, improved quality of life. Kapiolani Park Advisory Council, Diamond Head State Monument, Waikiki Residents Assocs. board member.

Persons, Don A.

Don A. Persons, the current Sergeant at Arms, is a local small business owner. He takes pride in the neighborhood, having lived/worked here for 30+ years. Don's personal goals are to take back Kapiolani Park from the campers, improve our quality of life, & work for reasonable traffic solutions.
