Chamber Music Hawaii has been presenting professional, resident chamber music in Hawaii since 1982. It is made up of three ensembles- the Galliard String Quartet, Honolulu Brass Quintet and Spring Wind Quintet. The musicians that make up these groups are all members of the Honolulu Symphony. CMH presents 16 concerts each season at Paliku Theatre and at the Doris Duke Theatre, along with many educational performances in Hawaii's schools. Chamber Music Hawaii ensembles have appeared throughout the Hawaiian islands, on the mainland, in Asia and Europe.
The College of Arts & Humanities at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is dedicated to educating the community about art, the humanities and culture.

Mid-Pacific Institute School of the Arts (MPSA0 offers arts training in seven different arts disciplines - Dance, Dance/Hula, Theatre, Musical Theatre, Visual Arts, Media, and Instrumental Music - for students in grades 6-12.
All students enrolled in classes at MPI will fulfill their MPE graduation requirements for arts and electives with courses selected from the classes that MPSA offers and will have the opportunity to be trained by the MPSA faculty offers and will have the opportunity to be trained by the MPSA faculty who are accomplished teachers as well as noted, working artists. Students who are interested in intensive arts training in one of the seven programs above may apply to the MPSA Certificate Program.
In the Pacific, MPSA in the only member of the International Network of the Performing and Visual Arts Schools. Students, who are accepted to the MPSA Certificate Program and successfully complete the requirements of the Certificate program for each school year, will receive graduation credits, a yearly certificate, and notation on their transcripts. Central to the philosophy of the Mid-Pacific Institute School of the Arts is a commitment to both art and academics. Technique classes allow students to develop their creative and expressive skills, while upper level courses in the history and literature of the arts encourage students to understand art-making in historical and critical contexts, thus strengthening their own artistic vision. |

The Movement Center is a 501(c)(3) organization located in Kaimuki, Hawaii. TMC's mission is to create good people through excellent education in the performing arts. It strives to include populations who may not have access to performing arts education or performances due to financial or physical challenges. TMC instructors endeavor to instill a love and joy of participating in the performing arts. While classes offer disciplined instruction, students are treated with love and respect.
Opened in 1999, TMC has grown to serve over 600 students monthly (from toddlers to seniors), offers over 110 instructional hours. Class disciplines include tap, ballet, jazz, tumbling, modern, hula, cheer leading, song & dance, musical theater, acting, ukulele, drumming and Kindermusik. TMC networks with human resource organizations, schools and churches to provide performing arts education for individuals with financial hardships or physical disabilities. Approximately $15,000 in scholarships is awarded annually. Participating students with special needs such as Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and hearing impairments are mainstreamed in TMC classes. |
