Hawaii with an abundance of beautiful and interesting filming locations and exceptional weather, is one of the world's best locations for movie, television and commercial work. Such great diversity, both in terms of people and backdrops, is difficult, if not impossible, to find elsewhere and all in a relatively compact and accessible area.

For films and commercials that require a topical setting, few places in the world can top Hawaii. In recent years, the Walt Disney Company has shot two feature films in the Islands, George of the Jungle and Might Joe Young and Universal produced the blockbuster, Jurassic Park here. Filming began in May 2000 on a major feature, Pearl Harbor.

Within Hawaii's seven islands you can also find all but two of the world's 14 diverse climatic zones, ranging from lush tropical rain forests to arid deserts, from alpine meadows, to lunar like volcanic landscapes.

Add to this the charm and beauty of the multi-ethnic people who inhabit the Islands. Now you will realize why Hawaii is such a popular place for film, television, and commercial work, as well as still photography for art and advertising.
