IMPORTANT UPDATE:
(revised: MAY 1, 2009)
ATTENTION LICENSEES
re: LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE

A bill under consideration in the Legislature, if passed, will require most categories of licensees (including, but not limited to: Dispensers, Cabarets and Restaurants) to maintain at least $1,000,000 in liquor liability insurance as a condition of doing business.  The Liquor Commission wants to know, if such a requirement is passed by the Hawaii State Legislature, will it significantly impact a licensee's ability to remain in business?  Please contact Special Projects Coordinator, Jack Rosenzweig, at 768-7308 with your responses.

The issue of updating our toll-free phone number still has not been resolved - when calling (800) 838-9976, you are asked to call another phone number instead: (808) 768-7303.  We apologize for any inconvenience  - any updates will be posted here.
