The Employment and Personnel Services Division has several major functions: This diverse division is responsible for Recruitment, Examination, Benefits, Research and Transactions and Employee Assistance. The division recruits and examines applicants in accordance with merit principles; advises departments and other personnel on requirements and resources to fill personnel needs, provides advice on developing appropriate selection interviews; researches and develops and maintains economic, compensation and related data in support of personnel activities, conducts initial orientation of new employees and develops and coordinates the implementation and administration of benefits and awards programs; provides assistance and counseling with workplace and personal problems affecting work performance, provides referrals to community resources; training and services on the management of troubled employees and related employee assistance subjects. |
