The Honolulu Fire Deparment (HFD) has an extensive array of apparatus and equipment to fit the mission.  Any HFD motorized firefighting vehicle that may be driven on public streets is commonly referred to as an apparatus. In addition, the HFD has two helicopters, a fireboat, several personal watercraft (PWC), heavy rescue, and hazardous materials (HM) response apparatuses that maybe dispatched to an emergency.
