(American Heart Association CPR for Family and Friends) This is an awareness-level training program that is overseen by the American Heart Association (AHA). The participants will learn about the chain of survival, be able to recognize life-threatening emergencies, and learn to perform CPR. However, participants in these courses, even though they may learn information that might save a life and be able to perform certain skills, will not be certified. The AHA CPR for Family and Friends Program is broken into three different courses: Course 1: CPR for All Ages (approximately 2.5 to 3 hours) · Introduction · Adult/Child Module · Infant Module Course 2: CPR for Adults (approximately 2 hours) · Introduction · Adult/Child Module Course 3: CPR for Infants (approximately 1.5 hours) · Introduction · Infant Module Each packet contains: · CPR for Family and Friends Booklet o With Adult and Child/Infant CPR Quick Reference Guides · Manikin Face Shield Classes can be scheduled for any day of the week. Class sizes must be a minimum of 10 students and shall begin no earlier than 8:30 a.m. and no later than 3 p.m. Interested individuals or organizations should give at least six weeks notice of when they would like to have the event. Participants must provide a TV with DVD player in order to view the interactive video. Allow for a minimum of 2 hours for the Adult/Child Module (Course 2), 1.5 hours for the Infant Module (Course 3), or 2.5 to 3 hours for both modules (Course 1) for instructional class time. NOTE: Classes will be "Course 2" unless otherwise requested.
