 ABOUT OUR PAGE DESIGN

Our World Wide Web page was originally coordinated by Patricia Ann Schutte of the City & County of Honolulu Building Department and put up by Jon Hadidi, Renee Rivera, and Kevin Siu at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in conjunction with the High Technology Development Corporation.

The page was formatted, updated and added to by Michael Litch, a MICT (paramedic) within the EMS Department. No departmental funds or time were used in the page's development.

In August of 1996 our page received praise from the Emergency Medical Services Journalistic Community. Lee Reeder of the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (August 1996 JEMS) named Honolulu Emergency Services Web page as "One of the 10 best EMS Sites on the web."

Thanks to Pat Schutte for her help as well as to Robin McCulloch, former Chief of CCEMS; Patty Dukes, Chief of CCEMS; Robert Pedro, Field Operations Supervisor; Alex Dzierba, RN for contributing photographs for the page; and the 68th Medical Detachment, United States Army.  Mahalo to all the beta testers as well.

As of October 2002, Ian Santee, a field paramedic and James Barros, Honolulu Lifeguards Injury Prevention Coordinator, will provide updates and continued maintenance to the Emergency Services Department Websites.
