QUICK RELEASE PINEAPPLE HILL ROAD RACE sponsored by Quick Release Cycling Team. The event is expected to have 80 cyclists. It will start at Kaukonahua Rd./Wilikina Dr. start/finish area, to Kaukonahua Rd., to Thompson Center, to Weed Cir., to Kamehameha Hwy., to Kaukonahua Rd., to end at start/finish area.  Kaukonahua Rd. will be closed, except for local traffic and emergency vehicles between Wilikina Dr. and Kamananui Rd. The event is expected to have 20,000+ participants.  Show will be off Magic Island, Ala Moana Beach Park. Ewa Entrance to Ala Moana Park will be closed to inbound traffic 8 am, Monday. Various traffic controls will be instituted by HPD at end of fireworks show.

1ST FRIDAY MERCHANT STREET FESTIVAL sponsored by Murphy's Bar & Grill to revitalize Chinatown. NUUANU BLUES, BREWS & BBQ STREET FESTIVAL sponsored by Honolulu Culture & Arts District Assn. The event is expected to have 1,000 participants.  Traffic will be diverted at 2:00 pm for setup.
