Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I get a permit to build or modify a dwelling, dig a trench or put up a stone wall, or do other similar work on my property?
    You will have to contact the Department of Planning and Permitting.  Click here to be redirected to their site.

  2. Can I get Real Property Tax Assessment information from DDC-Land Division?
    No.  Property tax information is prepared by the Department of Budget and Fiscal Services, Real Property Assessment Division.  DDC-Land Division provides services in connection with acquisition of property required for City related projects only.  The services provided by the Land Division are unrelated to real property tax assessments.

  3. Who can I call for road ownership information?
    You can call the DDC-Land Division at 768-8725.  The ownership information is deemed to be reasonably accurate but is not guaranteed.  The only information that can be provided is whether the road in owned by the City, State or private.  Specific name(s) of private owners is not available.  When calling, specific location of the portion of road in question should be provided.
