Oahu's One-Stop Centers a partner of the Oahu Workforce Investment Board
DECEMBER TRAINING SCHEDULE: Seating is limited. It is important to reserve your seat in advance via telephone. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the workshop's start time.
This course is designed to impart information on training options, career counseling services, partner programs and priority and/or eligibility requirements. All classes are filled. Please contact your career advisor to be placed on a waiting list. Participants will gain a better understanding of themselves through assessments. They will be able to identify their skills, strengths, work values and experiences and apply them in their job search, preparing their resumes, and interviewing for a job. They will be able to identify the different types of resumes and the basic components of a resume. Participants will learn the tools to draft an effective resume that will present their skills and experience in a professional manner. Participants will also understand the purpose and types of cover letters. Dec 17th (Thurs) 9:00 am – 11:30 am Tel: 843-0733 Dec 24th (Thurs) 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm Tel: 696-7067 Participants will develop strategies to effectively answer interview questions and will learn what employers are looking for in an employee. Participants will also learn how to present themselves in an interview and learn ways to follow up on an interview. Dec 16th (Wed) 9:00 am – Noon Tel: 843-0733 Dec 23rd (Wed) 9:00 am – Noon Tel: 675-0010 Job Club is an ongoing, user-friendly, hands-on help to simplify and assist job seekers with the activities taught in the above listed workshops.
