Information Branch

This branch responds to inquiries received in writing, by telephone, in person, by e-mail, and by fax about City programs and projects. In addition, the staff prepares, edits, and distributes news releases, fact sheets, messages, proclamations, official remarks, and correspondence. They also prepare and staff exhibits for various trade shows and public events and assist agencies with publications and publicity.

Under a City contract and through a state grant, Honolulu Municipal Television (MTV) produces video programming throughout the year that include "The Mayor's Report" and "City News Week" which highlight the City departments' activities and are shown on Olelo (channel 54). HMTV also produces public service announcements and training videos for various City agencies.

Complaint Branch

This branch serves as the first point of contact for members of the public seeking a City service or filing a complaint. Inquiries and complaints come from the following sources: correspondence, telephone, telephone recordings, web page access and walk-ins.

This branch handles graphic, printing and bindery services for City agencies. It prints or prepares informational booklets and brochures, forms, invitations, posters, and other printed and graphic products.
