Monthly Newsletters
Each month Councilmember Apo sends out a newsletter. The newsletter covers a variety of district
and Council issues and are circulated at Neighborhood Board meetings. They are also transmitted
electronically.

Capital Improvement Program Projects
Every July 1, a new fiscal year begins for the City & County of Honolulu. For the 2009
fiscal year, the mayor has proposed $831 million for City & County Capital Improvements Program
(CIP) Projects. This includes over 180 projects such as new construction or renovations of
roads, sewers and parks.

Ewa Transportation Coalition
The Ewa Transportation Coalition (ETC) is an informal ad-hoc assembly of government agencies,
project representatives and various elected officials who are responsible for ensuring the continued
development and improvement of roadway infrastructure across the Ewa plain.
Councilmember Apo utilizes this action-oriented forum to bring together key individuals from both the
public and private sector to communicate, update and coordinate on transportation expansion
initiatives taking place throughout District 1.

'OLELO TV: Westside Solutions
Councilmember Apo invites a new guest to talk about various district issues on his monthly television
talk show "Westside Solutions." The show airs Thursdays at 8:30 pm on Oceanic Cable Channel 54.
"Westside Solutions" is recorded at the Waianae High School Olelo Studios.
