The Office of the City Clerk is committed to providing quality public service and connecting the general public with the legislative and election processes. Our team supports the City Council’s goals of transparency by preserving and providing public access to Council documents and promoting compliance with record retention laws.

The City & County of Honolulu’s legislative documents include minutes, ordinance, resolutions, agendas, communications and other important records. These documents are available online by calendar year (1990 to present). All legislative documents dated prior to 1990 are available on microfiche at the Office of the City Clerk, Room 203, Honolulu Hale, 530 S. King Street, Honolulu, HI, 96813.

The City Clerk does not issue marriage licenses, birth or death (vital) records and land records or deeds or any permits. For information regarding legislation, please call (808) 768-5822. All other questions relating to the Office of the City Clerk, please call the main line at (808) 768-3810.
